Latrobe City — Studio Visit
At TVFH we’re all about viewpoints and perspective – but when photographer Kim Keltie came to visit the studio, we had the focus squarely turned back on us…
I was excited to have the opportunity to speak with the Year 12 Visual Communication class at Lavalla Catholic College in Traralgon. It’s always awesome to interact with students who’ve shown an interest in getting into design, to be able to share with them some career experiences of my own, and my journey from Ireland to Australia as a graphic designer.
Hopefully, they were able to take something valuable from what I’ve learned along the way. You never know; there might be some future designers among the class who are just about to begin their own design journey! The highlight had to be being presented with an amazing illustrated card with thank you notes from the entire class. Amazing illustration work by illustrator Isla McRae!
Thank you once again to the Year 12 students for listening and asking questions and to Dominica (Vis Com teacher) for organising to have me over! — Shane
