Owen Rye is an Australian ceramic artist and the face of the contemporary wood firing movement. He is part of the International Academy of Ceramics, and has been creating ceramics of all kinds for 58 years, beginning in 1962. He has exhibited collections all around the globe in places such as USA, China, Korea, Germany, France and many Australian exhibitions including the Australian national Gallery.
Rye’s latest collection ‘A Daedal Gallimaufry’ is full of exquisite ceramic art, a representation of some of the most complex processes becoming something quite simple looking, as well as some simple processes resulting in quite incredibly complex pieces.
The team at TVFH were proud to be involved in the production of Owen Rye’s latest exhibition, creating a simple, minimalistic styled booklet expressing the beauty of Rye’s art through sublime photography, attention to detail and an elegant easy to follow layout showcasing each of his ceramics.
The booklet along with his art will be exhibited at The Barn Gallery — 7 Hillcrest avenue, Eltham Victoria on Saturday the 7th of March 2020.
