Latrobe City Elder Abuse Prevention Network

Project Description

At first glance you may see wrinkled skin and grey hair. But listen to their stories — these Gippslanders are strong, experienced, diverse and determined.

The Latrobe City Elder Abuse Prevention Network approached us to broaden the reach of their cause within the local community. Shared through social media and huge posters scattered throughout Latrobe, we created a campaign that celebrated the inspiring and unique stories of our highly valued seniors. By focussing on individual stories we challenged ageist stereotypes — the root of discrimination, mistreatment and in extreme cases, elder abuse. Age is not old. Age is wisdom.
