Madras Brothers

Project Description

The story of the Madras Bros. is a rich tale of two boys born and raised in a culture torn between polarities: wealth and poverty, heritage and modernity, people and power, politics and show business (Kollywood, in this case).

After a travelling taste-tour of the most loved culinary institutions in Chennai (formerly Madras), brothers Magesh and Hrishi  developed this fine ‘institution’ supported by TVFH and Jos Tan Architects.

Serving authentic Tamil cuisine in true Southern Indian style, everything from dish to decals and decor has been sourced or inspired by the research gathered on the ground during our Chennai pilgrimage.
